Flying leap

Ignoring the 'no diving' sign, a jumper takes a flying leap into Wollongong harbour. Discovered on a photo shoot around the harbour, the teenagers were timing their jumps to land next to a large manta ray cruising back and forth just under the surface.

After taking a few frames the jumpers noticed the photographer and started to 'perform' for the camera, leaping closer to the manta. This was a tricky situation given the potential for injury were anyone to actually land on the big fish. Luckily, I had all the frames I wanted and moved on, removing the temptation for even more audacious feats.
